Federalist #2

John Jay wrote Federalist #2 because he wanted the people to understand the importance of a strong union of states and people. At the time of the writing of the Federalist Papers, the citizens who joined together to defeat the greatest military in the world, were beginning to fragment into groups that differed over how this new nation should be governed. The debate was between absolute state sovereignty with no Federal government versus state sovereignty with a limited government.

The debate of 1787 has returned, only this time between those who desire limited government (TEA Party) versus those who desire a totalitarian government (Communists). Instead of arguing the merits of each system in the newspapers like the writers of the Federalist Papers, those desiring a totalitarian state have decided to take action and ‘divide the union” of people, pitting one side against the other. For example, “Rich vs. Poor”, “Black vs. White”, and “Christian vs. non-Christian”. With the mainstream media as a willing accomplice, those desiring Communism are experiencing huge success in dividing the American public. We must remember that God brought America together and the last thing we should be doing is tearing each other apart over arbitrary lines designed by the Communists to divide and conquer the people.

The People of America must realize that the most important decision in their lifetime has been thrust upon them. We must give our careful and undivided attention, because the very existence of our union is at stake. Yes, we need a Federal government, but must it be a totalitarian regime that demands absolute control over the people? Yes, we need a Federal government for national defense, but do we need a federal police force with power to indefinitely detain American citizens without a trial? Yes, we need a Federal government to keep commerce between states regular, but do we need a government that decides what you can purchase? You decide.

The Founding Fathers are quite clear, the sustainability of the Republic depends upon a strong union of people that share in the basic rights of mankind: “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, so we can enjoy what God has given the people of this great nation. We must speak as one voice when we echo the words of Patrick Henry, “Give me Liberty or give me Death!. For the agony of servitude is greater than death.

As in 1787, you are faced with a choice, a decision; Do I stand with cause of Liberty, a cause that will result in prosperity for those willing to work and take care of the union of people, or will you chose a life of servitude, living on the scraps handed to you by a controlling elite class. The decision is simple:  Liberty or Slavery

Long Live the Union of America

 Obama calls himself a Christian..We don’t think so!

•    April 2008– Obama speaks disrespectfully of Christians, saying they “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren’t like them.”
•    February 2009- Obama announces plans to revoke conscience protection for health workers who refuse to participate in medical activities that go against their beliefs, and fully implements the plan in February 2011.
•    April 2009– When speaking at Georgetown University, Obama orders that a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name be covered when he is making his speech.
•    May 2009 – Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House.
•    April 2009 – In a deliberate act of disrespect, Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three.
•    October 19, 2010 – Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions.
•    November 2010 – Obama misquotes the National Motto, saying it is “E pluribus unum” rather than “In God We Trust” as established by federal law.
•    January 2011 – After a federal law was passed to transfer a WWI Memorial in the Mojave Desert to private ownership, the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that the cross in the memorial could continue to stand, but the Obama administration refused to allow the land to be transferred as required by law, and refused to allow the cross to be re-erected as ordered by the Court.
•    February 2011 – Although he filled posts in the State Department, for more than two years Obama did not fill the post of religious freedom ambassador, an official that works against religious persecution across the world; he filled it only after heavy pressure from the public and from Congress.
•    April 2011 – For the first time in American history, Obama urges passage of a non-discrimination law that does not contain hiring protections for religious groups, forcing religious organizations to hire according to federal mandates without regard to the dictates of their own faith, thus eliminating conscience protection in hiring.
•    August 2011 – The Obama administration releases its new health care rules that override religious conscience protections for medical workers in the areas of abortion and contraception.
•    November 2011 – Obama opposes inclusion of President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous D-Day Prayer in the WWII Memorial.
•    November 2011 – Unlike previous presidents, Obama studiously avoids any religious references in his Thanksgiving speech.
•    December 2011 – The Obama administration denigrates other countries’ religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights.
•    January 2012 – The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis.
•    February 2012 – The Obama administration forgives student loans in exchange for public service, but announces it will no longer forgive student loans if the public service is related to religion.
Acts of hostility from the Obama-led military toward people of Biblical faith:
•    June 2011 – The Department of Veterans Affairs forbids references to God and Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery.
•    August 2011 – The Air Force stops teaching the Just War theory to officers in California because the course is taught by chaplains and is based on a philosophy introduced by St. Augustine in the third century AD – a theory long taught by civilized nations across the world (except America).
•    September 2011 – Air Force Chief of Staff prohibits commanders from notifying airmen of programs and services available to them from chaplains.
•    September 2011 – The Army issues guidelines for Walter Reed Medical Center stipulating that “No religious items (i.e. Bibles, reading materials and/or facts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.”
•    November 2011 – The Air Force Academy rescinds support for Operation Christmas Child, a program to send holiday gifts to impoverished children across the world, because the program is run by a Christian charity.
•    November 2011 – The Air Force Academy pays $80,000 to add a Stonehenge-like worship center for pagans, druids, witches and Wiccans.
•    February 2012 – The U. S. Military Academy at West Point disinvites three star Army general and decorated war hero Lieutenant General William G. (“Jerry”) Boykin (retired) from speaking at an event because he is an outspoken Christian.
•    February 2012 – The Air Force removes “God” from the patch of Rapid Capabilities Office (the word on the patch was in Latin: Dei).
•    February 2012 – The Army orders Catholic chaplains not to read a letter to parishioners that their archbishop asked them to read.

Are we missing the real reason why the American Colonists decided to sever their ties with England?  Most of us can remember the School House Rock videos that proclaimed the dispute was over “taxation without representation”.  While that was one of a long list of grievances, it was not the primary reason that we declared our independence. As a matter of fact “Taxation without Representation” was Number 17 out of 27 stated grievances. Are we falling for a trick that was brought on by the Progressives, that economics is the only reason to elect a President or Congressman?
The Founding Fathers believed that we should never elect anyone based upon economics. Instead, we should elect people that are “virtuous and moral”. With virtue and morality, comes fiscal responsibility and sound social judgment. Since most of us have been taught that “Taxation without Representation” is the sole reason we fought the Revolutionary War, it is understandable why most Americans are willing to put fiscal responsibility over moral character.
A Republic, like we have in the United States, can only be maintained by a “virtuous and moral” population. But how can we remain or even become virtuous and moral, when a recent poll reveals that less than 38% of Americans attend church on a weekly basis? Or that some preachers are preaching “social justice” from the pulpit? America is losing its way both economically and socially because we have failed to recognize that the America is “One Nation under God”. America was in fact, founded upon Christian principles, but in the past 100 years, we have allowed the “Progressives” to turn the argument from “morals and virtues” to “economics”. With the cooperation of the Main Stream Media and Hollywood, the Progressives are turning America away from God and toward the Progressive idol – Government.
We have been conditioned to prefer financial security over liberty, and politicians are becoming experts at creating financial situations where Americans are willing to surrender their liberty so they can experience a little more security in their personal and business lives. As a result, government continues to create more financial crises only to offer us solutions that include giving up our financial and personal liberty. For example, in 1933, as a result of “The Great Depression”, Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 6102 criminalizing the possession of monetary gold by an individual. Upon seizing the citizen’s gold by the government, FDR declared the price of gold to increase from $20.67 per ounce to $35.00 per ounce, resulting in a windfall to the government of 69%. Again, the American public lost while the government won.
The question that remains to be answered by our generation; do we love wealth, or in this case the illusion of wealth, greater than liberty, or is it still “the economy, stupid?
