Stan Grant to speak on July 21st Meeting
Stan Grant from Change 535.org will be speaking about GOD and politics.
On November 11, 1620 when pilgrims set foot on this new land, they had a purpose. It was penned in their governing document knows as the Mayflower Compact, and it reads in part: “In the name of God, Amen. We whose names are underwritten…having undertaken for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith…a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia”. Apparently Buddha wasn’t on the boat, and neither was Mohammad. It was the Christian faith that gave birth to the greatest nation on earth.
As we approach the elections of November, 2010, almost 400 years have passed since that moment in time. Yet the principles remain true today. America has been blessed because of our Christian foundation, and the future success of our nation hangs on a return to those same values. Come to our meeting for a lively discussion.
Mission
The Mission of the Greeley 9.12 Project is “We the People of the Greeley 9.12 Project recognize the uniqueness and excellence of The Constitution of the United States and are dedicated to mobilize The People to honorably restore the rightful position as the Law of the Land.”
Our Objectives:
“Hold elected officials and candidates accountable for their speech and action.” We do this by tying the Election Season to the Legislative Season and the Legislative Season to the Election Season. In other words, candidates had better do as they say or we will let as many people as we can know that the person cannot be trusted. Conversely, if a candidate stays true to their word, we are more than willing to let people know that the person can be trusted. We review the candidate’s legislative history to see how they voted and to determine if there are any trends in their voting record. “Educate members about the founding documents of our country and state.” The Greeley 9.12 Project is providing training in the following areas: The 5000 Year Leap: A study of the Constitution. The 5000 Year Leap is an in depth course about what the Founding Fathers studied to create the Constitution of the United States. The course material is available from the National Center for Constitutional Studies and will take 13 weeks to complete. We are learning how to evaluate candidates and legislation based upon the 28 Principles of Liberty. The Greeley 9.12 Project includes Conservative Democrats, Republicans, and Unaffiliated. We have members from Greeley, Loveland, Eaton, LaSalle, Windsor, Johnstown, and Kersey. We welcome anybody who recognizes the Constitution as the Law of the Land. We stand on 9 Principles and 12 Values.
