Cycle of Body Politic
The Greeley 9-12 Project was formed in 2009 as a result of a definite shift in national direction. Late in 2007, members of the Greeley 9-12 Project observed that the local, state, and national government were moving from free enterprise to socialism by adopting progressive philosophies. The People were being led by politicians who made hollow promises during the election season and delivered a “bigger government” agenda during the legislative season. As a result, The People are becoming less involved in the political process. In addition, the media covered for politicians and bureaucrats by failing to report the truth and acting more as a propaganda arm of powerful elitists.
The Greeley 9-12 Project formed in an attempt to discover the truth and to hold politicians responsible for their action and words. Growth of the Greeley 9-12 Project has been slow and steady. Faced with voter apathy and general fear of politicians and bureaucrats, the general public has grown reluctant to become involved with the body politic. As a result, we have gotten the government, local, state, and national, that we deserve.
Benjamin Franklin said that the Founding Fathers gave us a republican form of government, “If we can keep it”. Politicians and bureaucrats tell us that we live in a democracy, and today, this is true – We now have a democracy, where majority rules without a “Rule of Law”. Where laws are not equally applied. The Founding Fathers preferred a republic over a democracy because a democracy could not work on a large scale.
Professor Alexander Fraser Tytler said, “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can exist until the voter’s discover that they can vote themselves from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over lousy fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.”
